Between 8h30 and 12h30 this morning we raised 8, had 3 bites and released a #600 Black, all on baits.

Lots of small fish mixed in with the some decent girls between V & VI mile, but very lazy & just picking at the baits…guess they got something else on their minds :-)

Got bait early and an hour into it hooked up a #600 and Dean released his first ever Marlin. Twenty minutes to get another bait and another twenty we missed a #300 on a skipjack. Put the lures for an hour got a wahoo and then 2 YFT. Baited and within the next hour and a half we raised 6. Two small fish, and two mid rangers on the baits, each staying on the baits for ages but could not get a bite out of them.

Finally we got a bite and hooked up to a #700, Ian got in the chair and after a long run and some jumps we turn to chase and the fish fell off.

Half an hour later we raised another one about #300 that was on and off the bait for at least 5 mins but never had a swipe at it. Quiet for a couple hours after that, we had last bait sharked and made an early run home at 14h45.
