Greetings from my Condo at Los Suenos Costa Rica:

July 11, 2019; Today I left home in Havelock North Carolina at 4:00 am then drove to the New Bern NC airport to catch a Delta flight heading to San Jose Costa Rica, through Atlanta. I arrived home here to my condo in the Los Suenos Resort at 2:00 pm, unpacked and went to the beach where I had an early dinner at the Parrot restaurant, came home and went to bed early.

This week I had the choice to go to the I-cast show in Orlando Florida, (Largest trade show ever in the fishing industry), which I have attended every year (once calles AFTMA Show) since 1980 until this year, or to spend a few relaxing days at home in my own bed, and then return here and go fly fishing for Blue Marlin. Although it would have been nice to spend time with many old friends, and some new companies which I am interested in, I chose to go Marlin Fly Fishing here in Paradise. Of course the vessel "Dragin Fly" has been crushing the fish since I left and will continue to until we head out on our next "Costa Rica Blue Marlin Fly-Fishing School" with Suzy and Smith Ragsdale, on Monday. I do hope all of my sponsors and friends have a great show at I-Cast and that they take some time to send information on what is new and exciting at the show? I have 5 more trips here
at my Blue Marlin Schools, and can squeeze in another 3 day FAD trip during the second half of August if someone wants to take a shot at the best Blue Marlin fly fishing in the world, give me a call at 305-872-6060 if interested.

For the last couple of years the Striped Marlin fishing has been much better in an area called "Mag Bay" in Mexico. I fished that area quite a bit during the 1980s and 1990s and have considerable fly fishing experience catching Striped Marlin on Fly between my many years in the Galapagos and time spent in the Mag Bay area. I have tried to put together trips to Mag Bay to operate my Striped Marlin Fly Fishing Schools with a world class captain, crew, and a vessel of at least the high quality and safety measures that my clients have become accustomed to.

Well it looks like it is coming together for the October and November season of 2019. If this works out we will be departing and returning to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, they will be 5 full day or 6 full day trips and will include between 40 and 53 full hours of fly fishing for Striped Marlin. Last year in this area one of my best friends fly fishing on his own boat with the best fly fishing crew in the world, managed to catch and release more than 270 Striped Marlin on fly while using IGFA fly fishing rules and 20 pound class tippet. BY Far the best ever! If you have any interest in sharing in this world class fly fishery with me, please contact me quickly as time is short and these weeks will fill up quickly. Contact me at: 305-872-6060, or at keysjake@aol.com.

My boat will be running Albie trips in North Carolina during the weeks of October 1 and November 30, I will be operating my vessel "Fly Reel, and I will have a excellent local captain running the boat when I am not available. I am about 50 percent booked for the prime dates,if interested contact me asap to lock in prime dates.

My eleventh annual 2020 "Jake Jordan Invitational Sailfish fly challenge" at the "Casa Vieja Lodge" in Guatemala will be held on January 6, 7, 8, 9, 2020. This tournament is the longest running, and most successful, fly fishing for Billfish tournament ever. Last year's Tournament world champions "Team Intensity" with anglers Rufus Wakeman and Jed Dempsey, will be back to defend their championship. We still have space and boat s available for 3 mort teams, if you are feeling lucky, contact me to reserve your boat and a spot for your team.

I'll be heading out to sea aboard "Dragin Fly" with Smith and Suzy Ragsdale on Monday, stay tuned for more fly fishing reports coming soon. I really love my Job ,wish you were here.
