Good yellowtail fishing continues off Ensenada. Fished noon to 4pm in areas north of San Miguel Reef, (31.53/116.50 and 31.50/116.50). Seals are a problem right now and we went 3 for 8 on yellows from 18 to 30 lbs., 2 nice reds and countless 1 to 3 lb. bonito. We were only targeting yellows and we fished a variety of irons in the 6, 6xjr and 7xjr sizes with blue and white and scrambled egg accounting for most of the catch. Be patient and trust your meter to find the bait and fish which are in the 120 ft to 200 ft. water column. Water temp was 59.7 to 60 degrees. Also this bite has been pretty consistent as other boats have been catching yellows for the last 2 months on a regular basis. Other areas where yellows have been showing is north and south ends of Todos Santos Island and on occasion the Punta Banda area.
