Fishing has been on fire in the Southwest Florida area! As the sweltering summer days are starting to cool off a little, tons of fish are being caught both in the backwater and offshore. In Estero Bay, we have been catching more redfish than I have ever seen in years past. 20 to 30 fish days have not been uncommon. In addition, the big snook up to 30 pounds have just finished breeding and are hanging out around the back, mostly eating at night. So far this fall we have caught over twenty fish in the 25-30 pound range. Big trout, jack crevalle and sharks have also been plentiful. Offshore, the cobia and permit are starting to show up on the close to shore wrecks and even some tarpon have still been hanging around. Make your way down to Bonita Springs and give us a call to go fish!
