-
Begin by taking the tag end of your mono leader and running it through the eye of the hook.
-
Pull the tag end 4-5 inches through the eye of the hook so you'll have plenty of line to work with.
-
Roll the tag end in your fingers to form a loop.
-
Use your index finger and thumb to pinch the line together to the loop and using your other hand, pass the tag end through the loop.
-
Continue to wrap the tag end through the loop and mainline.
-
Continue wrapping the tag line through the loop and around the mainline away from the hook a minimum of 4-5 times.
-
Moisten the knot before you begin to cinch it down to the eye of the hook.
-
Begin to tighten the knot by pulling on the tag end of the line.
-
Pull both the tag end and mainline in order to cinch the knot down to the eye of the hook.
-
Finish the knot by clipping the tag end close to the eye of the hook.
