  • Kuxica's nwe Strike walk around with a lot of tags flying high!! Lobito, Angola 1 of 1
A great sailfish bite is on in Lobito, South of Angola.
This week end was organized the first edition of the "Lobito Sailfish Classic", a 30lbs line all release tournament.

The fleet (16 teams) released more than 100 billfish, mostly good sized Atlantic Sailfish that Angola is famous for, and a few marlins in the mix (whites and blues).

Winning team Kuxica released 11 sails and 1 white on the first day and 9 sails and 1 white on the second day, best ever performance in a tournament in Angola, and a great performance anywhere.

Lobito is in a very special location, close to where the cold and nutrient rich Benguela current ends, and where the hot and blue waters of the Gulf of Guinea start.

Very large blue marlin are regularly seen, caught (or lost!!) here. The next tournament, Lobito Big Game, will take place Mid March. More than 50 teams are expected!!
